    Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 1051 cases as 1105 patients die in Russia

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 1051 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, bringing all time cases to 221, 071.

    But out of the 221, 071 all time cases, 211, 345 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 983 other patients could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 6743 active cases of Coronavirus.

    “NCDC: 1051 new cases of COVID19Nigeria: Lagos – 599,  FCT -238, Rivers 79,  Oyo – 51,  Ondo – 32,  Plateau – 20,  Akwa Ibom – 11,  Ogun -7, Bayelsa -5, Kano -5,  Kwara -4: 221, 071 confirmed;  211, 345 discharged; 2, 983 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 272, 728, 990  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 334,888 patients have died as a result of the pandemic, while 8,582, 739, 517 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 50,475, 878 confirmed cases  of Coronavirus, while 803, 271 patients have passed on(101, 335 new and 761 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented  34, 718, 602 total infections, while 476,478  other patients could not make it alive and Brazil, which has reported 22, 201, 221  all time cases and 617,271 deaths.

    The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 11, 161, 099 total infections, while 147, 395 patients are no more(87, 644 new and 146 deaths#) , followed by Russia, which has registered 9, 955, 308 total cases of the pandemic, while 288, 240 patients are no more(28, 158 new and 1105 deaths#) and Turkey, now reporting 9, 102, 294 total cases of infections, while 79, 696 patients have passed on.

    France remains the 7th country most hit with 8, 564,979 total cases of the pandemic, while 122, 156 patients  are no more(60, 905 new and 188 deaths#) , followed by Germany with 6, 708, 855 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 107, 368 lives have perished(18, 287 new and 161 deaths#) and Iran with 6,165, 454  all time cases of the pandemic, while 130, 946  others could not make it alive(2500 new and 63 deaths#).

    Argentina remains the 10th country most hit with 5, 371,341 total cases and 116, 857 deaths  and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has documented 3, 255,  816 all time cases of the pandemic, while 90,262 other patients have kicked the bucket(24, 785  new and 36 deaths#)
