    Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 1430 cases 13,130 now active as UK lists 129,319 cases in 24 hours

    Coronavirus cases recorded in last 24 hours

    LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed a total of 1430 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 112,996.  But out of the 112, 996 all time cases, 98,359  patients have been treated and discharged, while  1,507 others could not make it alive. Nigeria is now left with 13, 130 active cases.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-744, Plateau-100, Oyo-77, FCT-75, Nasarawa-74, Katsina-48, Edo-42, Kano-41, Enugu-37, Rivers-34, Ogun-33, Kwara-32, Niger-28, Ebonyi-27, Kaduna-26, Borno-12, Yobe-10, Ekiti-5 and Gombe-1, making a total of 1430 cases in the last 24 hours.

    “NCDC@NCDC gov 1,430 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-744, Plateau-100, Oyo-77, FCT-75, Nasarawa-74, Katsina-48, Edo-42, Kano-41, Enugu-37, Rivers-34, Ogun-33, Kwara-32, Niger-28, Ebonyi-27, Kaduna-26, Borno-12, Yobe-10, Ekiti-5 and Gombe-1; 112,996 confirmed; 98,359 discharged; 1,507 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 99,573,155 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2, 136,248 patients are dead, while 54, 919, 396 others have recovered. There are now 42, 527, 511 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According  to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country, reporting 25,246, 713 confirmed cases while, 420, 713  patients have passed on(137, 565 new and 1731 deaths*), followed by India, which has reported   10, 667,  736  confirmed cases, 153,470 deaths, while 10, 330, 084 others have recovered, leaving India  181, 215  active cases of Coronavirus(13, 203 new and 131 deaths*) and Brazil with 8, 884, 577 confirmed cases, 217,037 deaths, while 7, 826,079 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 841, 461 active cases of Coronavirus.

    Russia remains the 4th country most affected by the pandemic, confirming 3,698,246 cases, 68, 841 patients are already dead, while  3, 117, 405 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 512, 000 active cases of Coronavirus(18,999 new and 444 deaths*), followed by the United Kingdom which has registered  3, 680,101 confirmations, 98, 723 deaths, while 9,019  others have been able to recover, leaving the UK with    3, 572, 359 Coronavirus patients(129,319 new and 594 deaths*) and France with 3, 116,355 confirmed cases, 73, 636 deaths, while 223, 823 others have recovered, leaving the France with  2, 818, 896 active cases of Coronavirus(4300 new and 446 deaths*).

    Spain has come up as the 7th country most hit by the virus, reporting 2, 593,382 confirmed cases, 56, 208 patients have passed on while 150, 326 others have recovered, leaving Spain with 2, 386, 798 Coronavirus cases(93, 822 new and 767 deaths*), followed by Italy which has documented 2, 475,372 confirmed cases, 85, 881 patients are already dead, while 1,897,861 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 491, 630  active cases of Coronavirus(8559 new and 420 deaths*) and Turkey with  2, 435,247 confirmed cases, 25, 210 patients have passed on while 2, 314,403 others have recovered, leaving Turkey with 95, 634 active cases of Coronavirus(5646 new and 137 deaths*).

    Germany has come up as the 10th country most hit, reporting 2, 154,650 all time cases, 52, 626 deaths, while 1,844,225 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Germany with 257, 799 active cases of Coronavirus(6836 new and 458 deaths*) and South Africa  still the 15th country most affected worldwide with 1, 417, 537  total cases, 41,117 deaths, while 1,241,421 others have been treated and discharged, leaving South Africa with 134, 999 active cases of Coronavirus(4551 new and 243 deaths*).
