    Coronavirus kills 2815 patients in Brazil, 1005 in the US and 3 in Nigeria

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 112 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to  161, 651. But out of the 161,651 confirmed cases, 147,775 patients have been treated and  discharged, while 2,030  could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 11, 846,  while 3 patients died in the last 24 hours.  Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-35, FCT-22, Ondo-17, Kaduna-9, Ebonyi-9, Bauchi-6, Kebbi-4, Delta-2, Osun-2, Jigawa-2, Borno-1, Edo-1, Kano-1 and Nasarawa-1, making a total of 112 new cases of Coronavirus.

    “NCDC @NCDCgov 112 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-35, FCT-22, Ondo-17, Kaduna-9, Ebonyi-9, Bauchi-6, Kebbi-4, Delta-2, Osun-2, Jigawa-2, Borno-1, Edo-1, Kano-1 and Nasarawa-1 ; 161,651 confirmed ;147,775 discharged ;2,030 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 122, 631,601 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2, 705, 724 lives have been destroyed by the pandemic, while 69, 464, 058 others have survived and therefore discharged. The world is now left with 50, 461, 819 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 29, 774, 306 confirmed cases, while 541, 738 patients have been killed by the pandemic(60, 087 new and 1005 deaths*), followed by Brazil which has reported 11, 871, 390 confirmed cases, 290, 314 patients have passed on, while 10, 470, 969  others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 110, 107 active cases of Coronavirus(90, 570 new and 2815 deaths*) and India with 11, 555, 284  confirmed cases,  159, 558   patients are already dead,  while 11, 107, 332 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving India with 288, 394 active cases of Coronavirus(40, 953 new and  188 deaths*).

    Russia remains the 4th country worst hit by the virus  with 4, 397, 816 all time cases,  93, 090 patients have already been killed by the virus, while 4,014,  770 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Russia with 289, 956  active cases of Coronavirus(9548 new and 386 deaths*), followed by the United Kingdom which has registered  4, 304,  839  confirmations,  126, 359 patients are already dead, while  12, 167 others have recovered, leaving the UK with 4, 166, 313 active cases of Coronavirus(5640 new and 96 deaths*) and France which has reported 4, 227, 182 all time cases,  92, 119 deaths and 286, 442  recoveries, leaving the UK with 3, 848, 621 active cases of Coronavirus(286 deaths*).

    Italy remains the 7th country worst hit with 3, 356, 331  confirmed cases, 104, 642 patients are already dead, while 2,686, 236 others have  been given clean bill of health, leaving Italy with 565, 453  active cases of Coronavirus(23, 913 new and 401 deaths*), followed by  Spain, which has documented 3, 212,332 confirmations,  72, 910 lives are no more while 150, 376 others  have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Spain with 2, 989, 046 active cases of Coronavirus and Turkey which has recorded  2, 992, 964   confirmations,  29, 959 deaths and  2, 807, 572  recoveries, leaving Turkey with 155, 433 active cases of Coronavirus(21, 331 new and 95 deaths*).

    Germany remains the 10th country worst hit, reporting 2, 658, 840  all time infections,  74, 657 patients have lost their lives to the pandemic, while 2, 414,198 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Germany with 169, 985 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 654 new*) and South Africa which has documented 1, 536,801 all time cases of Coronavirus,  52, 082 lives have been lost to the pandemic, while 1, 462, 110 others have  been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 22, 609 active cases of Coronavirus(1378 new and 47 deaths*).
