    France reports 110, 814 new cases of Coronavirus as active cases drop to 10, 357 in Nigeria

    LAGOS, Nigeria -The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 97 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 162,275.  However, out of the 162,275 confirmed cases, 149,882  patients have been treated and discharged, while  2,036  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 10, 357 active cases, while 5 patients died in the last 24 hours.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-50, Kaduna-12, FCT-10, Bayelsa-8, Imo-3, Kwara-3, Bauchi-2, Osun-2, Akwa Ibom-1, Edo-1, Kano-1, Ogun-1, Oyo-1, Plateau-1 and Zamfara-1, making a total of 97 new cases.

    “NCDC@NCDCgov 97 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-50, Kaduna-12, FCT-10, Bayelsa-8, Imo-3, Kwara-3, Bauchi-2, Osun-2, Akwa Ibom-1, Edo-1, Kano-1, Ogun-1, Oyo-1, Plateau-1 and Zamfara-1; 162,275 confirmed; 149,882 discharged; 2,036 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 125, 242,661  confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide,  2,749, 771 patients have passed on while 71, 003, 681 others have been treated and discharged. There are now 51, 489, 209  active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest  updates from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country, now reporting 30,061, 223 all time cases while 546, 058 others  have lost their lives to the pandemic(69, 248 new and 1136 deaths*), followed by Brazil which has reported 12, 220, 011  all time cases, 300, 685 patients are no more, while 10, 795, 240 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 124, 086 active cases of Coronavirus(89,992 new and 2009  deaths*) and India, which has reported 11, 787, 534 all time infections, 160, 692 deaths and  11, 231, 650 recoveries, leaving India with 395, 192 active cases of Coronavirus(53, 476 new and 251 deaths*).

    France has  come up as  the 4th country worst hit by the virus, now reporting  4, 484, 651 confirmations, 93, 535 deaths, while 293, 410  others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 4, 097, 706  active cases of Coronavirus(110, 814 new and 467 deaths*) , followed by Russia which has documented 4, 442, 492  confirmed cases, 95, 010 patients are already dead while 4, 062, 446 others have survived and  therefore discharged, leaving Russia with 285, 036 active cases of Coronavirus(9128 new and 386 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has reported 4, 332, 906 all time cases,  126, 684 deaths and 12, 406 recoveries, leaving the UK with 4, 193, 816 active cases of Coronavirus(6283 new and 63 deaths*).

    Italy has come up as the 7th country worst hit with 3, 464, 543   confirmations, 106, 799 deaths and 2, 794, 888 recoveries, leaving Italy with 562, 856 active cases of Coronavirus(23, 681 new and 460 deaths*) and Spain, which has reported 3, 247, 738 all time cases,  74, 420 deaths and  150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 3, 021, 942  active cases of Coronavirus(13, 419 new and 676 deaths*) and Turkey which has documented 3, 120,013  all time infections, 30, 619  deaths and  2, 900, 829  recoveries, leaving Turkey with 188, 565 active cases of Coronavirus(28, 731 new and 157 deaths*).

    Germany remains the 10th country worst hit, reporting 2, 732, 067 confirmations, 75, 549  patients have been killed by the virus, while 2, 461, 363  others have recovered, leaving Germany with 195, 155  active cases of Coronavirus(22, 312 new and 208 deaths*) and South Africa which has documented 1, 541, 563  confirmed cases,  52, 535 deaths and 1, 467, 254   recoveries, leaving South Africa with  21, 774 active cases of Coronavirus(2602 new and 29 deaths*).
