April 24, 2015 – The Lagos State Government has suspended the April edition of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Aderemi Ibirogba said the state decided to suspend the April edition in the interest of youths in Lagos State.

According to him, the youths will go out and write their Common Entrance Examination (CEE) and that the suspension will enable them to move from their places of residence to the various examination centres in Lagos.

He said that for this purpose, the Lagos State government has lifted restriction on movement. He however, encouraged people to go about and clean their environment.

“We expect people to make use of the opportunity to clean their immediate environment”, he said and advised the youths not to take to the streets to play football.
