    Coronavirus claims 3449 lives in India as Nigeria reports 34 new cases

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre of Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 34 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 165,215. But out of the 165,215 confirmed cases,  155,371 patients have been treated and discharged, while  2,063 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7781 active cases of Coronavirus.

     Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Enugu-19, Lagos-13, FCT-1 and Kaduna-1, making a total of 34 new cases of Coronavirus. “NCDC@NCDC gov 34 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Enugu-19, Lagos-13, FCT-1 and Kaduna-1; 165,215 confirmed 155,371 discharged 2,063 deaths .

    Globally, there are now 153, 819, 254 confirmed case of Coronavirus,  3, 218, 906 patients are already dead,  while 90, 520, 099 others have recovered and subsequently  discharged. The world is now left with 60, 080, 249 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest updates from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 32, 507, 113 confirmed cases while 578, 319 patients have been killed by the pandemic(47, 303 new and 857 deaths*), followed by India with 20, 282, 833 confirmed cases, 222, 408 lives are already gone, while 16, 613,292 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 3, 447, 133 active cases of Coronavirus(357, 229 new and 3449 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 14, 779, 529  confirmed cases, 408, 622 lives have been lost, while 13, 165, 185 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving  Brazil with 1,205, 722 active cases of Coronavirus(24, 619 new and 983 deaths*).

    France has come up as the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 5, 741, 531  confirmed cases, 105, 548 patients are no more, while 364,855 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving France with 5, 271, 128    active cases of Coronavirus(24, 378 new and 257 deaths*), followed by Turkey which has documented  4, 929, 118 all time cases, 41, 527 patients have passed on while 4, 554, 037 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Turkey with 333, 554 active cases of Coronavirus(28, 997 new and 336 deaths*) and Russia which has confirmed 4, 784, 497  all time cases, 109, 670 deaths and 4, 406, 289 recoveries, leaving Russia with 268, 538 active cases of Coronavirus(7653 new and 329 deaths*) .

    The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country worst hit, now reporting  4, 439, 485  confirmed cases, 127, 803 patients have passed on while 14, 839 others  have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 296, 843 active cases of Coronavirus(2002 new and 6 deaths*), followed by Italy with 4, 059, 821 all time infections, 121, 738 lives are no more, while 3, 524, 194  others have regained their health and subsequently discharged, leaving Italy with 413, 889 active cases of Coronavirus(9113 new and 305 deaths*) and Spain which has documented 3, 554,  945 all time infections, 78, 399  patients are already dead, while 150, 376 others have recovered, leaving Spain with 3, 326, 170  active cases of Coronavirus(14, 515 new and 106 deaths*).

    Germany has come up as the 10th country  most afflicted, reporting 3, 450,663 confirmations, 83, 711 patients have passed on while 3, 075,230 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Germany with 291, 722 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 486 new and 359 deaths*) and South Africa which has registered 1, 586, 148  all time cases, 54, 511 deaths and 1, 509, 656 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 21, 981 active cases of Coronavirus(1187 new and 59 deaths*).
