    Concern as India records 332, 730 new cases 2263 deaths and Nigeria 45

    LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 45 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 164,633.

     But out of the 164,633 confirmed cases, 154,643 patients have been treated and discharged while 2,061 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7929 active cases of Coronavirus.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-26, Rivers-10, Delta-3, Kano-2, Akwa Ibom-1, FCT-1, Kaduna-1 and Nasarawa-1, making a total of 45 new cases of Coronavirus.

    “NCDC@NCDC gov 45 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-26, Rivers-10, Delta-3, Kano-2, Akwa Ibom-1, FCT-1, Kaduna-1 and Nasarawa-1 ;164,633 confirmed ;154,643 discharged ;2,061 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 145, 098, 784 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide,  3, 077,  900 others are already dead, while 83, 459, 408  others have  recovered. There are now 58, 561,  476  active cases of Coronavirus globally based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, reporting 31, 972,  888 confirmed cases while 571, 001 patients have been killed by the virus(60, 725 new and 919 deaths*), followed by India with 16,  263, 695  all time cases,  186, 920 lives have been lost, while 13, 648, 159 others have recovered and consequently discharged, leaving India with 2, 428, 616 active cases of Coronavirus(332, 730 new cases and 2263 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 14, 167, 973   all time infections,  383, 502 lives have been lost, while 12, 577,  038 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Brazil with  1, 207, 433 active cases of Coronavirus(45, 344 new and  2027 deaths*).

    France has come up as the 4th country worst hit, reporting  5, 502, 014  confirmations,  102,655 patients are now dead, while  336,234 others have recovered, leaving France with 5, 063, 125 active cases of Coronavirus(32, 385 new and 332 deaths*), followed by Russia with 4, 691, 290 confirmations, 105, 718 patients are no more, while 4, 321, 477 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Russia with 264, 095 active cases of Coronavirus(8717 new and 390 deaths*), followed by the Turkey with 4, 550, 820 confirmed cases of Coronavirus , 37, 672 lives have been wasted by the pandemic, while 3, 970, 111 others have recovered, leaving Turkey with 543, 037 active cases of Coronavirus(49, 438 new and 343 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom remains the 7th country  most afflicted now reporting  4, 416,  531  all time cases, 127, 638  patients are no more, while 14, 281 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with  4, 274, 612 active cases of Coronavirus(2699 new and 41 deaths*) followed by  Italy which has reported  3, 935, 703  confirmed cases,  118, 699 patients are already dead, while 3, 351, 461 others are now hale and hearty, leaving  Italy with  465, 543 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 758 new and 342 deaths*) and Spain which  has documented  3, 468, 617  all time cases,  77, 591  patients are already dead, while 150, 376 others have recovered, leaving Spain with 3, 240, 650 active cases of Coronavirus(11, 731 new and 95 deaths*) .

    Germany remains the 10th country most hit, now reporting 3, 263, 415 confirmed cases, 81, 326 lives are no more, while 2, 876, 690 others have been treated and discharged,  leaving Germany with 305, 399 active cases of Coronavirus(25, 288 new and 296 deaths*) and South Africa   which has registered  1, 572, 985 all time infections,  54,066 lives are no more, while  1, 499, 110 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 19, 809 active cases of Coronavirus(1637 new and 71 deaths*).
