    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 317 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 170, 623 cases. But out of the 170, 623 total cases,  164, 780 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 131 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3712 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 1 patient died in the last 24 hours.

    NCDC: 317new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 172,  Akwa Ibom – 62, Oyo-33, Rivers – 32, Ekiti – 5, FCT- 5, Ogun – 3, Sokoto – 2, Bayelsa – 1,Gombe – 1, Kano – 1: 170, 623 confirmed cases; 164, 780 discharged; 2, 131 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now  193, 090,087 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 4, 142,810 patients have passed on, while 3, 779, 720, 363 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 34, 325, 902 confirmed cases, while 610, 431 patients have passed on(59, 094 new and 351 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 31, 293, 062 confirmed cases, while 419, 470 lives have perished(35, 342 new and 483 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported  19, 632,443 all time cases, while  548, 340 patients have given up the ghost(158, 489 new and 2736 deaths*).

    France remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 6,015, 469 all time infections, while 111, 778 lives have been wasted(19, 496 new and 30 deaths*), followed by Russia with 6, 002, 303 confirmations and 149, 796 deaths(23, 276 new and 784 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has documented 5, 662, 426  all time infections, while 129, 330  lives have been wasted(36, 371 new and 64 deaths*).

    Turkey remains the 7th country most afflicted with 5, 574, 997 all time infections, while 50, 821 patients have perished(11, 094 new and 60 deaths*), followed by Argentina with 4, 827, 973 confirmed cases, while 103, 359  patients are already dead(29, 122 new and 541 deaths*) and Colombia which has reported 4, 705,734 cases, while 118, 188 lives are no more(25, 740 new and 706 deaths*).

    Italy has come up as the 10th country most hit with 4, 307, 535  confirmations, while 127, 937  people afflicted have kicked the bucket(5142 new and 17 deaths*) and South Africa, which has documented  2, 356, 049 all time infections, while 69, 075 patients have passed on (13, 719 new and 450 deaths*).
