    Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 559 new cases 5 deaths, USA 160, 006 cases

    Nigeria reports 559 new cases of Coronavirus 5 deaths
    Governor of Ekiti State and NGF Chairman, Dr. Kayode Fayemi paid a visit to the Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III on Saturday, to congratulate him on his successful installation and coronation.

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 559 new cases of  Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 197, 046. But out of the 197, 046  confirmed cases, 185, 379  patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 578 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9089 active cases of Coronavirus, while 5 patients have died in the last 24 hours.

    NCDC: 559 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 232,  Rivers – 83, Enugu – 66, Oyo – 28,  Kaduna – 25,  FCT -24, Delta – 22,  Akwa Ibom – 19,  Kwara – 18, Ekiti – 13,  Bayelsa – 9,  Cross River -9,  Ogun – 6, Kano – 3, Gombe – 2; 197, 046 confirmed; 185, 379 discharged;  2, 578 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 222,447,968 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic,  4, 593, 268 patients are no more, while 5, 561, 146, 585 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered  worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for System Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 40, 440, 100  confirmed cases of  Coronavirus, while 652, 526 patients are now dead(160,006 new and 1994 deaths*), followed by India, which has reported 33,096,718 all time infections and 441,411 deaths and Brazil, which has documented  20, 928, 008 confirmed cases, while 584, 421 patients have passed on(13, 771 new and 313 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 7, 127, 544 all time cases, while 133, 999 patients have been killed by the pandemic(38, 493 new 191 deaths*), followed by Russia with 6, 964, 595  all time cases, while 186, 224 patients have died from the virus(17,673 new and  777 deaths*) and France which has reported  6, 944, 797 all time cases, while 115,833  others have perished from the pandemic(5931 new and 153 deaths*).

    Turkey remains the 7th country most hit, reporting  6, 566, 538  all time infections, while  58,  913 patients have died(23, 914 new and  262 deaths*), followed by  Argentina now reporting 5, 211,801 all time cases and 112,851 deaths and  Iran with 5, 210, 978 all time cases, while  112,430 patients have been killed by the virus.

    Colombia has been pushed to the 10 spot, reporting 4, 923, 197 all time infections, while 125,427 lives have been snatched by the pandemic(1787 new and  49 deaths*) and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa, now reporting  2, 836, 773 confirmed cases, while 84, 152 patients have kicked the bucket(6939 new and  253 deaths*).
