LAGOS, Nigeria -The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 180 new cases of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country, bringing all time cases to 63,508.

But out of the 63,508  all time cases, 59,748  patients have been treated and discharged,  while 1,155  could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 2605 active cases of Coronavirus, #coronavirusngr.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-87,  Oyo-51, Abuja-12, Plateau-10, Edo-4, Ekiti-3, Ogun-3, Bauchi-2, Kaduna-2, Niger-2, Kano-1, Ondo-1, Osun-1 and Rivers-1, making a total of 180 new cases.

There are now 48, 461, 273 confirmed cases of Coronavirus globally, 1, 229,758 deaths while 32,030,613 others have been treated successfully and discharged. There are now 15, 200, 902 active cases of Coronavirus based on current statistics from Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country, reporting 9,544,315 confirmed cases,  234, 300 deaths, while  3, 743,527 patients have recovered, leaving the United States with 5, 566, 488 active cases of Coronavirus(102, 842 new cases), followed by India, which has confirmed 8, 364, 086 cases,  124, 315 patients have been killed by the virus, while  7, 711, 809 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 527, 962 active cases of Coronavirus(50, 210 new cases) and Brazil which has documented 5, 590, 025 confirmed cases,  161, 106 patients are no more, while  5, 078, 162 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 350, 757 active cases of Coronavirus(24, 113 new cases).

Russia remains the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 1, 699,695 confirmed cases, 29, 285 deaths and 1, 271,349 recoveries, leaving  Russia with 399,061 patients still sick hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(19, 116 new cases), followed by France which has reported 1, 648, 521 cases since the outset of the pandemic,  39,088 patients are already dead, while  129, 759 others have recovered, leaving France with 1, 479, 674 active cases of Coronavirus(58, 429 new cases), followed by Spain which has documented 1, 306, 316 confirmations,  38, 486 deaths and 150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 1, 117, 454 active cases of Coronavirus(21, 908 new cases).

Argentina remains the 7th country most affected by Coronavirus, reporting  1, 205, 928 confirmed cases,  32, 520 deaths and  1,017,647 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 155, 761 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 652 new cases), followed by Colombia with 1, 108,086 confirmations,  32, 013 patients are already dead, while 1,002, 202 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Colombia with 73, 871 active cases of Coronavirus(8, 694 new cases) and the United Kingdom which  has suffered the highest casualty in Europe. The United Kingdom has confirmed 1, 102,328 cases,  47, 832 deaths while only 2, 931 patients have survived the pandemic, leaving the UK with 1, 051, 565 active cases of Coronavirus(38 new cases).

Mexico remains the 10th country worst hit, reporting  943, 630 confirmations,  93, 228 deaths, while 804, 887 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Mexico with 45, 515 active cases of Coronavirus(5, 225 new cases), followed by Italy now the 12th country worst hit, reporting  824, 879 confirmed cases,  40, 192 deaths, while 312, 339 patients have recovered, leaving Italy with 472, 348 active cases of Coronavirus(34, 502 new cases) and South Africa which has reported 730, 548 confirmed cases since the outset of the pandemic,  19, 585 death, while 660,185 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving South Africa with 50, 778 active cases of Coronavirus(1, 712 new cases).
