    Coronavirus: Nigeria lists 459 cases 8 deaths; UK 36, 565 new cases

    Coronavirus: Nigeria lists 459 cases 8 deaths

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed  459 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 195, 511. But out of the 195, 511 confirmed cases,  184,  529 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 552 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8,430 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 8 patients died in the last 24 hours.

    “NCDC: 459 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 185,  Abia – 38,  Oyo – 38,  Akwa Ibom – 33, Cross River – 33,  Osun – 24, Ekiti – 23,  Benue – 15, Kwara – 14,  Kano – 12,  Delta – 10,  FCT – 10,  Edo – 9,  Kaduna – 5, Ogun – 3, Katsina -3, Nasarawa -2, Rivers – 2, Bayelsa – 1; 195,  511 confirmed ;  184,  529 discharged; 2, 552 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 220, 590, 791  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 4,565,964 deaths, while 5, 445, 766, 102 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country worldwide, reporting 39, 936, 101 all time cases and 648, 436  deaths(32, 311 new and 363 deaths*), followed by India, which has reported 32,988, 673 confirmed cases, while 440, 533 patients are no more alive(42, 766 new and 308 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 20, 877, 864 all time infections, while 583, 362 lives have been wasted(21, 804 new  and 692 deaths*) .

    The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 7, 010, 540 all time cases, while 133, 553 lives are no more(36, 565 new and 68 deaths*), followed by France which has documented 6, 921,275  all time cases, while 115, 401 patients are now dead(10, 410 new and 49 deaths*) and Russia with 6, 912, 375  all time cases, while 183, 896 patients have passed on(18, 262 new and 779 deaths*).

    Turkey remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 6, 412, 247  all time infections, while 57,000 patients have passed on, followed by Argentina with 5, 202, 405 confirmed cases, while 112, 444 patients are no more(2486 new and 88 deaths*) and Colombia with 4, 916, 980 all time cases and 125, 230 deaths.

    Spain has continued as the 10th country most hit with 4, 877, 755  all time cases, while 84, 795 patients are no more and South Africa  with 2, 819, 945 confirmed infections, while 83, 419 patients have kicked the bucket(5931 new and 76 deaths*).
