    LAGOS, Nigeria – There are now 163, 798,497 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 3 394,682  patients have lost their lives while 1, 506, 486, 598 doses of vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United states remains the most afflicted, reporting 32, 993,670 all time cases, while 587,159 patients have lost their lives(28, 942 new and 833 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 25,228, 996  all time cases, while 278, 719 others have passed on(263, 533 new and 4329 deaths*) and Brazil which had reported 15, 657,391 cases of Coronavirus, while 436,537 others have been killed by the pandemic(29, 916 new and 786 deaths*).

    France remains the 4th country most affected, now reporting 5, 959, 580 all time infections, while 108, 201 patients have passed on(17, 211 new and 228 deaths*), followed by Turkey which has reported  5, 139, 485  confirmations, while 45, 186 patients have been killed by the pandemic(11, 937 new and 203 deaths*) and Russia with 4, 900, 995 registered cases of Coronavirus, while 114, 619 patients are no more alive(8057 new and 356 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom is the 7th country most hit, now reporting 4, 466, 218 all time cases of Coronavirus, while 127, 953 lives have been claimed by the pandemic (7deaths*), followed by  Italy with 4, 167, 025 all time infections, while 124, 497 patients have been killed by the virus(4449 new and 201 deaths*) and Spain with 3, 619, 848 cases of the pandemic have been recorded, while 79, 502 patients have lost their lives(3988 new and 70 deaths*).

    Germany remains the 10th country most affected with 3, 615, 870 confirmed cases, while  86, 514 patients are no more alive(8578 new 302 deaths*) and South Africa with 1, 617, 840 confirmed cases and 55, 340 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(2355 new and 80 deaths*).
