    Coronavirus: Daily cases drop as 1155 die in the US

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 228 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 252, 187.

    But out of the 252,  187 confirmed cases,  226, 408 patients have been treated and discharged, while 3, 124 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 22, 655  active cases of Coronavirus  pandemic.

    “NCDC:  228 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; FCT – 110,  Gombe -38,  Lagos – 32,  Osun – 14, Taraba -12,  Imo – 5,  Kaduna – 5,  Rivers – 4, Borno -2,  Kano – 2,  Bauchi – 1,  Delta – 1,  Ekiti – 1, Ogun – 1: 252, 187 confirmed; 226, 408 discharged; 3, 124 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There  are now 350, 539, 042  total cases of Coronavirus pandemic  worldwide, 5,594,813  total cases of Coronavirus patients have passed on while 9, 795, 090, 710  doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting  70, 648, 846  total cases of the pandemic, while 866, 395  patients have perished(236, 066 new and 1155 death#), followed by India, now reporting 39, 237, 264  total cases, while 489, 409 patients could not make it alive(333, 533 new and 525 deaths#) and Brazil with 23,931, 609  all time cases, while 623,191  patients have perished(165, 110 new and 316 deaths#).

    France remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 16, 807, 733  total infections and 129, 620 deaths(301, 643  new and 115 deaths#), followed by  the United Kingdom, which has documented 15, 966, 838 total cases, while 154, 373 patients could not make it alive(74, 936 new and 75 deaths#) and Turkey, which has reported 10, 947, 129 all  time cases, while 85, 969 patients are no more(65, 503, new and 184  deaths#).

    Russia has been pushed down to the 7th spot among most affected nations, reporting 10, 923, 494  all time cases, while 319,536 patients could not survive the pandemic(62, 695 new and 667 deaths#), followed by Italy, which has reported 9, 923, 678  total cases, while 143, 523 patients have perished(142, 487 new and 227 deaths#) and Spain, which has reported  8, 975, 458 total cases, while 91, 741 lives have perished.

    Germany  remains the  10th country most hit, reporting 8, 717, 145 total cases, while 116,723  patients  have passed on(75, 268 new and 45 deaths#) and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has reported 3, 581,359 total cases, while 94, 177 lives have perished(1931 new and 114 deaths#) .
