    Coronavirus: 1424 lives lost in Brazil; Nigeria reports 184 cases

    LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 184 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 170, 306. But out of the 170, 306 confirmed cases, 164, 772 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 130 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3404 active cases of Coronavirus.

    “NCDC: 184 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 124, Rivers – 27, Sokoto – 9,  FCT – 9, Oyo – 6,  Ekiti – 5,  Delta – 4, Plateau – 1:  170, 306 confirmed; 164, 772 discharged; 2, 130 deaths”, the NCDC has announced

    There are now 192, 369, 357  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide,  4, 132, 063 patients have passed on while 3,727, 952, 418 doses of Coronavirus pandemic have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the  Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting  34, 266, 808 confirmed cases, while 610, 080 patients have given up the ghost(56, 417 new  and  283 deaths*), followed by India, which has reported 31, 257, 720  all time cases, while 418, 987  patients have passed on(41, 383 new and  507 deaths*) and Brazil now reporting 19, 473, 954 all time infections, while 545,604 patients are no more(54, 517 new and 1424 deaths*).

    France has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 5, 995, 973 all time infections and 111, 748 deaths(22, 093 new and 11 deaths*), followed by  Russia which has documented 5,979,027  all time cases, while 149, 012 patients  have died(23, 938 new and 783 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has reported 5, 626, 055  all time infections, while 129, 266  lives have been wasted(39, 792 new and 84 deaths*).

    Turkey has come up as the 7th country most affected, reporting 5, 563,903 all time infections, while 50, 761 patients  have died(17, 737 new and  111 deaths*) , followed by Argentina which has registered 4, 798, 851 confirmed cases, while 102, 818 patients have kicked the bucket(14, 632 new and 437 deaths*) and Colombia which has documented  4, 679, 994 all time infections, while 117, 482 patients  have been laid to rest(11, 244 new and 351 deaths*).

    Italy remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 302, 393 total confirmations while 127, 920 patients have perished (5056 new and 15 deaths*) and South Africa(18th),  country worst hit with 2, 342, 330 all time infections, while 68, 625 lives have been wasted(14, 858 new and 433 deaths*).
