    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 168 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 201, 798. But out of the 201, 798 confirmed cases, 190,  563 patients have been treated and discharged, while  2, 655 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8590 active cases, while 1 patient died in the last 24 hours.

    “NCDC: 168 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 75,  Abia – 26, Niger – 20,  FCT- 15,  Benue- 8,  Ogun – 8,  Osun – 7, Edo – 3,  Kaduna – 2,  Kano – 2, Ondo – 2:  201, 798 confirmed; 190, 563 discharged; 2, 655 deaths”, the NCDC has announced

    There are now  228, 458, 173 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 690, 701  patients are already dead, while  5, 904, 908, 988 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 42,085, 658 confirmed cases, while 673, 763 patients have been killed by the pandemic(40, 640 new and 358 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 33, 443, 163 confirmed cases, while 444, 838 lives are no more(25, 773 new and 309 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 21, 239, 783 all time cases, while 590, 752 lives have been wasted(159, 564 new and 1179 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 7, 464, 527   all time cases, while 135,534   patients have passed on(29, 034 new and 56 deaths*), followed by Russia with 7, 170, 069  all time infections and  194, 671 deaths(19, 825 new and 780 deaths*) and France which has reported 7, 043, 875 all time cases, while 116, 696 patients are no more(5944 new and 34 deaths*).

    Turkey remains the 7th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 6, 820, 831  confirmed cases, while 61, 361 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(26, 161 new and 221 deaths*), followed by Iran with 5, 424,  835  all time  infections while 117, 182 patients have kicked the bucket(15, 975 new and 391 deaths*) and Argentina which has reported 5, 238, 610  all time cases, while 114,367 patients are no more alive(1451 new and 81 deaths*).

    Colombia is the 10th country worst hit, reporting 4, 939, 251  all time infections, while 125, 860 patients could not make it alive(1655 new and 34 deaths*) and South Africa with 2, 882, 630 confirmed cases, while 86, 174  patients have passed on(2281 new and 58 deaths*).
