    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 252 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the total confirmations to 52, 800 cases.

    Out of the  52,800 all time cases; 39,964 patients have been discharged, while 1,007 others have passed on, leaving Nigeria with 11, 829 Coronavirus patients.

    Breakdown of the 252 new cases is as follows, Plateau-50,  Enugu-35,  Rivers-27,  Lagos-26,  Abuja-18,  Kaduna-18,  Ekiti-10,  Kano-10,  Taraba-9, Anambra-8,  Edo-8,  Oyo-8,  Delta-7,  Ogun-6,  Abia-5,  Bayelsa-5, Ebonyi-1 and   Osun-1

    “NCDC@NCDCgov 252 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Plateau-50,  Enugu-35,  Rivers-27,  Lagos-26,  FCT-18,  Kaduna-18,  Ekiti-10,  Kano-10,  Taraba-9, Anambra-8,  Edo-8,  Oyo-8,  Delta-7,  Ogun-6,  Abia-5,  Bayelsa-5, Ebonyi-1,  Osun-1; 52,800 confirmed; 39,964 discharged; 1,007 deaths”,  the NCDC said in a statement.



    Globally,  there are now 23, 741, 562  all time cases of Coronavirus, 815, 476 deaths since the first cases was reported,  while 15, 399,788 others have recovered from the pandemic based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering,  Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country, reporting 5,766, 804 all time cases of Coronavirus,  178, 129 deaths, while  2, 020, 774 others have been cured, leaving the United States with 3, 576, 901 Coronavirus patients(32, 729 new cases), followed by Brazil with  3, 622,861  confirmed cases of the pandemic,  115, 309  deaths over time, while  2, 987, 729 patients have survived the pandemic, leaving Brazil with 519, 823 patients to treat for Coronavirus(17, 078 new cases)  and then India, which has reported 3, 167, 323 confirmations since the first cases was reported,  58, 390 deaths over time, while  2, 404, 585 others have overcome the pandemic, leaving India with 704, 348 patients struggling to survive the pandemic(60, 975 new cases).

    Russia, still third in the league of most afflicted countries has documented 963, 655 all time cases of Coronavirus, 16, 524 accumulated deaths,  while   777, 960  others have been healed of the pandemic, leaving Russia with 169, 171 patients down with Coronavirus(4, 639 new cases), followed by South Africa with 613,017  cases of the pandemic since the first case was reported, 13, 308 deaths over time,  while 520,381 patients have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 79, 328 Coronavirus patients(1, 567 new cases), followed by  Peru, which has reported 600,438 cases of the pandemic since the outset, 27, 813 deaths over time while 399, 357 patients have been discharged,  leaving Peru with 173, 268 Coronavirus patients(6, 112 new cases).

    Mexico is next with 563, 705 all time cases of the pandemic, 60, 800 deaths accumulated over time, while   466, 209 patients have overcome the pandemic, leaving Mexico with 36, 696 patients battling to survive the virus(3,541 new cases), followed by Colombia with  551, 688 cases since the first case was reported in Colombia,  17, 612 deaths over time, while 384, 165 patients have been cured of the pandemic, leaving Colombia with 149, 911 people to treat for the virus(10, 549 new cases) and then Spain, which has documented 412, 553  all time cases of Coronavirus,  28,924 deaths since the first case was reported while  150, 376 patients are now hale and hearty, leaving Spain with 233, 253 Coronavirus patients(7, 117 new cases).

    Chile is next with  400, 985 all time cases, 10, 958 deaths since the outset of the pandemic, while 374, 463 patients have been discharged, leaving Chile with 15, 564 patients  in need of help to overcome the pandemic, followed by  Iran, with 363, 363 confirmations since the first case of Coronavirus was reported, 20,901 deaths since the outset, while 313, 058 patients have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving Iran with 29, 404 patients  struggling to survive the pandemic, followed by Argentina with 350, 867 confirmed cases since the outset of the pandemic in the state, 7, 402 deaths over time while 263, 202 patients have survived the pandemic, leaving Argentina with 80, 263 patients to treat for the pandemic (8, 713 new cases) and  the United Kingdom, which has reported   329,  821 all time cases, 41,535 deaths over time while  only 1, 550 patients have recovered since the first case was reported in the U.K, leaving the state with 286, 736 Coronavirus patients(1,204 new cases).

    France now in the 17th spot has reported  285,879 confirmed cases, 30, 549 deaths over time, while 85, 757 patients have been given clean bill of health, leaving France with 169, 573 patients to treat for the pandemic(3, 465 new cases), followed by  Italy(18) with 261, 174 cases of Coronavirus since the outset of the pandemic in  Italy,   35, 445 deaths recorded over  time and 201,015 recoveries, leaving Italy with 24, 714 Coronavirus patients(876 new cases) and China where the pandemic was first reported.

    China (33 in the rank of most affected countries) has reported 89, 738 all time cases,  4, 711 deaths over time, while  84,114  others have overcome the pandemic, leaving China with 913 Coronavirus patients.
