LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 1143 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 145,664. But out of the 145,664 confirmed cases, 120,399 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,747 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 23,518 active cases of Coronavirus, while 13 patients have died in the last 24 hours.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-319, FCT-157, Kwara-90, Oyo-74, Enugu-72, Nasarawa-69, Imo-58, Osun-51, Gombe-49, Kaduna-31, Edo-23, Katsina-23, Kebbi-23, Ogun-22, Kano-19, Rivers-19, Ebonyi-18, Plateau-14, Delta-7 and Ekiti-5, making a total of 1143 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 108, 409,608 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2,389, 624 patients have been killed by the virus, while 60,767, 288 others have recovered and therefore discharged.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 27, 544, 036 confirmed cases, while 483, 544 lives have been snatched away by Coronavirus in the US alone(96, 416 new and 3, 098 deaths*), followed by India which has documented 10,892,746 all time cases, 155, 550 patients are already dead, while 10, 600,625 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving India with 136, 571 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 143 new and 103 deaths*) and Brazil which has confirmed 9, 765, 455 all time cases, 237, 489 deaths and 8, 729,439 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 798, 527 active cases of Coronavirus(51, 546 new and 1288 deaths*).
The United Kingdom has returned as the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 4, 038, 884 confirmed cases, 117, 128 patients have been killed by the virus, while 10, 678 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 3, 911, 078 Coronavirus patients(13, 355 new and 1621 deaths*), followed by Russia which has reported 4, 012,538 confirmations, 78, 403 deaths, while 3, 538,241 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Russia with 395, 894 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 640 new and 492 deaths*) and France with 3, 467,051 confirmed cases, 80, 955 deaths, while 244, 962 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 3, 141, 134 Coronavirus patients(14, 640 new and 1 death*).
Spain has come up as the 7th country worst hit, reporting 3, 056, 035 confirmed cases, 64, 747 patients are no more, while 150, 376 patients have survived the pandemic, leaving Spain with 2, 840, 912 Coronavirus patients, followed by Italy which has documented 2, 710, 819 all time cases, 93,356 patients have passed on, while 2, 216,050 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 401, 413 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 523 new and 311 deaths*) and Turkey, which has documented 2, 579,896 confirmed cases, 27, 377 deaths, while 2, 468,419 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Turkey with 84, 100 active cases of Coronavirus(7706 new and 93 deaths*).
Germany remains the 10th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 2, 336,899 confirmed cases, 64, 831 deaths and 2, 121,944 recoveries, leaving Germany with 150, 124 active cases of Coronavirus(6485 new and 429 deaths*) and South Africa with 1, 490, 063 confirmations, 47, 821 patients are already dead, while 1, 385,996 others have been treated and discharged, leaving South Africa (16th) most affected with 56, 246 active cases of Coronavirus(3282 new and 151 deaths*).
