MANCHESTER CITY 3 – 1 AFC BOURNEMOUTH

LONDON – The relentless Sky Blue machine cranked up another three points on Saturday as Pep Guardiola’s champions swept aside AFC Bournemouth in routine fashion at the Etihad, reminding the Premier League exactly who is boss.
The Cherries may have travelled north harbouring dreams of a colossal upset, but by the final whistle, it was clear they were Bourn to Lose!
The damage was largely done by the sensational Phil Foden, the Stockport-born superstar who looks sharper than a razor blade. Foden netted a magnificent brace, showcasing why he is currently the Ginger Wizard running the show in midfield.
City’s opener came just before the half-hour mark when a devastating passing move—the kind that makes rivals weep—culminated in Bernardo Silva squaring the ball for Foden to blast home from close range.
The relentless pressure then forced the second. A Kevin De Bruyne cross caused panic in the Bournemouth box, resulting in an unfortunate, chaotic deflection that looped over the keeper and into the net, giving City a two-goal cushion heading into the break.
While Bournemouth managed to claw one back through a clinical finish from Dominic Solanke early in the second half—a flash of brilliance that provided a brief, terrifying glimpse of a contest—normal service was quickly resumed.
Foden put the game to bed just minutes later, curling a glorious, trademark left-foot strike past the desperate dive of Neto.
The goal was pure class, restoring the two-goal margin and signalling to the rest of the league that the title race is still City’s to lose.
Guardiola watched from the touchline, looking more satisfied than smug as his squad pocketed the points and returned to the summit of the Premier League table.
With performances like this, City look unstoppable. Good luck, everyone else!
