LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 814 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 247,009.
But out of the 247,009 total cases, 217, 832 patients have been treated and discharged, while 3, 070 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 26, 107 active cases, while 4 patients passed on.

Confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic globally has reached new level, crossing the 300 million mark based on recent statistics.
Specifically, there are now 302,076, 852 confirmed cases worldwide, 5, 478,004 patients have kicked the bucket, while 9, 371, 274, 423 doses of COVID19 vaccines have been administered based on the reports by the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country and also topping the chart in the new wave.
The USA has documented 59, 098, 496 total infections, while 835, 994 patients could not make it alive(969, 342 new and 2848 deaths#), followed by India, now reporting 35, 226, 386 all time cases, while 483, 178 patients are no more(117, 100 new and 302 deaths#) and Brazil, now reporting 22, 328, 252 all time infections and 619, 654 deaths.
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, now reporting 14, 279,775 confirmations and 150, 222 deaths(180, 755 new and 230 deaths#), followed by France, now with 11, 618,224 all time cases, while 126, 195 patients could not make it alive(329, 520 new and 194 deaths#) and Russia with 10, 437, 471 cases, while 308,258 patients have passed on(16, 608 new and 770 deaths#).
Turkey remains the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 9, 852, 458 total infections and 83, 388 deaths(63, 214 new and 157 deaths#), followed by Germany with 7, 458, 433 total infections, while 113, 717 patients could not make it alive(73, 578 new and 271 deaths#) and Italy, now reporting 7, 083, 762 confirmations and 138, 697 deaths(108, 297 new and 223 deaths#).
Spain is now the 10th country most hit, reporting 6, 922, 466 registered cases, while 89,837 patients are no more alive and South Africa, still the leading country in Africa most afflicted by the pandemic.
South Africa has documented 3, 513, 813 all time cases and 92, 252 deaths(9259 new and 140 deaths#).
