    Total blackout as EEDC announces system collapse in Anambra , other states

    ENUGU, Nigeria – Less than  24 hours after Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC)  said it has fully restored  power supply  in Anambra state, it has announced a total system collapse in the SouthEast  region,including Anambra.

    Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, Emeka Ezeh in a statement on Thursday made available to our correspondent in Awka,  said there was a total system collapse which occurred  at 12:40am, early hour of  today.

    According to him, the development has resulted into the loss of supply currently being experienced across the network.

    “Due to this development, all our interface TCN stations are out of supply, and we are unable to provide service to our customers in Abia, Anambra,  Ebonyi,  Enugu and Imo States.

    We are on standby awaiting detailed information of the collapse and restoration of supply from the National Control Centre (NCC), Osogbo” he said
