    Coronavirus takes a toll on India with 346, 786 new 2624 deaths, Nigeria 51

    Top countries under siege by Coronavirus

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 51 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 164,684. 

    However, out of the 164,684 confirmed cases, 154,687 patients have been treated and discharged; while 2,061 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7936 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic. Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Yobe-19, Lagos-17, Rivers-8, FCT-4, Akwa Ibom-2  and Bayelsa-1, making a total of 51 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic.

    “NCDC@NCDC gov 51 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Yobe-19, Lagos-17, Rivers-8, FCT-4, Akwa Ibom-2  and Bayelsa-1; 164,684 confirmed ;154,687 discharged ;2,061 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 145, 933,  832 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 3,091,392 patients are already dead while 84, 037, 426 others have been treated successfully and discharged. The world is now left with 58,  805,  014 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 32, 034, 323 all time cases, while 571, 812 patients have lost their lives to the pandemic(61, 435 new and 811 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 16, 610, 481  confirmed cases, 189, 544  deaths and  13,867,997 recoveries, leaving India with 2, 552, 940 active cases of Coronavirus(346, 786 new and 2624 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 14, 237, 078 all time cases, 386, 416 lives have been lost while 12, 605, 248 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 1, 245, 414 active cases of Coronavirus(69, 105 new and 2914 deaths*).

    France remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 5,534, 656 all time cases, 102,872 patients are already dead, 337, 667 others have recovered, leaving France with 5, 094, 117 active cases of Coronavirus(32, 642 new and 277 deaths*), followed by Russia with 4, 699, 988 confirmed cases of Coronavirus,  106, 108 patients are no longer alive, while 4, 330, 610 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Russia with  263, 270 active cases of Coronavirus(8698 new and 390 deaths*) and  Turkey, with 4, 591, 416  all time cases, 38,011 patients are no more, while 4, 022, 408 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Turkey with 530, 997 active cases of Coronavirus(40, 596 new and 339 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom remains the 7th country most hit, now reporting 4, 418, 710  confirmations,  127, 670 deaths and 14, 388 recoveries, leaving the UK with 4, 276, 652 active cases of Coronavirus(2179 new and  32 deaths*) and Italy with 3, 949, 517 confirmed cases, 119, 021 lives have been wasted by the pandemic, while 3, 369,048 others  have regained their health, leaving Italy with 461, 448 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 814 new and 322 deaths*) and Spain with 3, 468, 617 all time infections, 77, 591 deaths, while 150, 376 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Spain with 3, 240, 650 current cases of Coronavirus.

    Germany remained the 10th country worst hit, now reporting 3, 276, 871 confirmations, 81,542 patients are already dead, while 2, 892, 350  others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Germany with 302, 979 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 456 new and 216 deaths*) and South Africa now the 20th country most afflicted with 1, 572, 985 all time cases, 54,066 patients are already dead, while 1, 499, 110  others have been treated and discharged, leaving South Africa with 19, 809 active cases of Coronavirus.
