LAGOS, Nigeria – Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu is currently responding to treatment, Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi has assured.
The governor who has initially gone into self-isolation when one of his close aides test positive to Coronavirus went into self-isolation but test conducted on him returned positive.
“Commander and Governor of Lagos @jidesanwoolu is responding well to #COVID19 home based care and treatment”, the commissioner said, adding that he is in high spirit and very appreciative of all your prayers and well wishes.
The governor has been in the forefront of the fight against Coronavirus in Lagos. At a time when most of the staff at Government House, Marina tested positive to the virus, many had anticipated that he would eventually come down with the virus after his several visits to the isolation centres but all tests conducted on him then returned negative until now.
