    Police nabs 4 fetish one-chance operators

    One-chance gang arrested, with them are fetish items recovered

    OGUN, Nigeria – Officials of the Nigerian Police, (Zone 2) Ogun State have arrested a gang of 4 one-chance operators who specialises in using fetish items in defrauding innocent Nigerians.

    The suspects, who are all residents of Ogun State are Babatunde Adeyemi (26) Lawal Amoke (40) Oluwabunmi Okeomo (45) and Ogaode Monday 25 years.  

    “Exhibits recovered from them includes Ninety one thousand, nine hundred US fake Dollars, One Honda Accord vehicle with registration number MN 783 AAA and some fetish items”, Police Public Relations, Dolapo Badmus said in a statement.

    She said officials of the Nigerian Police have also raided their shrine along Ifo in Ogun state and that they will soon be charged to court.

    She said their prime victim  said the suspects lured her while “she boarded their vehicle and that they will introduce her to phone business and subsequently she has parted with the sum of one million, five hundred thousand equivalent in US Dollars before her husband got wind of the incident and played along with the suspects until their arrest!

    Narrating what led to the arrest, Badmus said “On 27th November, 2018 the command received a distress call from one Mr Onyekwere that some group of people have been collecting money from his wife and he suspected they are fraudsters”, he said, adding that on receipt of the complaint the AIG in charge of zone 2 command, AIG Lawal Shehu directed a full scale investigation, leading to arrest of the four suspects.
