ABUJA, Nigeria- Former Governor of Kogi State, Mr. Yahaya Bello is now in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
He was handed over to the EFCC by Kogi State Governor, Mr. Usman Ododo.
The former governor has been on the run for months since the EFCC stormed his home in Abuja and his arrest has become practically impossible until his willing submission to the EFCC.
The EFCC and Interpol also published a warrant declaring him wanted but to no avail.
It’s not clear if he will be granted administrative bail.
The EFCC declared Bello wanted for alleged N80.2 billion fraud.
