UYO, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria – The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brigadier General YD Ahmed has paid a courtesy call on Onuoha Elvis Udodiri who narrowly survived death following a gun shot during the 2023 general elections.
Onuoha Elvis Udodiri(AK/22B/2148 is still on admission at the Ibom Hospital, Uyo, Akwa Ibom. He was an adhoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, during the House of Assembly re-run in the state and was shot on the leg by thugs mobilized by despirate politicians at the village hall in Ikot Eduek Itak in Ikono Local Government Area.
The NYSC DG commended the hospital management for taking care of the corps member and prayed he recovers as soon as possible.
Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Ini Etukudo thanked the NYSC DG for the fatherly role he is playing towards Udodiri.
He promised to continue with good medical care for the patient.
In his appreciation, the corps member, Onuoha Elvis Udodiri said that there is a lot of tremendous improvement on his health and appreciated the hospital management for not neglecting him and that he will soon be on his feet.
