    In 1 day, Coronavirus kills 3829 patients in Brazil as Nigeria reports 83 cases

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 83 new cases of the Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 163, 581. But out of the 163, 581 confirmed cases, 154,005 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,058 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7,518 active cases of Coronavirus.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-22, Rivers-18, Nasarawa-9, Cross River-8, Ondo-6, Delta-5, Akwa Ibom-4, Bauchi-3, Zamfara-2, Kaduna-2, Ebonyi-1, Sokoto-1, Ekiti-1 and Kano-1, making a total of 83 new cases.

    “NCDC@NCDC gov 83 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-22, Rivers-18, Nasarawa-9, Cross River-8, Ondo-6, Delta-5, Akwa Ibom-4, Bauchi-3, Zamfara-2, Kaduna-2, Ebonyi-1, Sokoto-1, Ekiti-1 and Kano-1 ;163, 581 confirmed ;154,005 discharged ;2,058 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 133,611,513 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2, 894,664  patients have passed on while 75, 985, 127 others have been treated and discharged. The world is now left with 54, 731, 722 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest updates from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 30,989,137 confirmed cases, while 559,987 others have been killed by the virus(80, 719 new and 977 deaths*), followed by Brazil which has documented 13, 193,205  all time infections, 340, 776 deaths and 11, 649, 755 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 1, 202, 674 active cases of Coronavirus(92, 625 new and 3829 deaths*) and India which had registered  12, 928,574  all time cases, 166, 862 patients are no more, while 11, 851,393 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving India with 910, 319 active cases of Coronavirus(126, 789 new and 685 deaths*).

    France has come up as the 4th country most affected, now reporting 5,000, 019 all time cases, 98, 196 patients have given up the ghost, while 312, 540 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 4, 589, 283 active cases of Coronavirus(97,071 new and 752 deaths*), followed by Russia which has reported 4, 563, 026 all time cases, 100, 158 deaths and 4, 190,701 recoveries, leaving Russia with 272, 167 active cases of Coronavirus(8545 new and 358 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has documented 4, 384,951confirmations, 127, 224 patients have kicked the bucket while 13, 428 others have survived, leaving the UK with 4, 244, 299 active cases of the pandemic(3128 new and 53 deaths*).

    Italy has come up as the 7th country most hit by the pandemic, reporting 3, 717, 602 confirmed cases, 112, 861 patients are no more, while 3, 060, 411 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Italy with 544, 330  active cases of Coronavirus(17,209 new and 487 deaths*) and Turkey with 3, 689, 866 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 33, 201 deaths and 3,232, 892 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 423, 773   active cases of the pandemic(55, 941 new and 258 deaths*)  and Spain which has documented  3, 336, 637 all time cases of Coronavirus, 76, 179 deaths, while 150, 376 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Spain with 3, 110, 082  active cases of Coronavirus(9901 new and 142 deaths*).

    Germany remains the 10th country most affected, reporting 2, 951,829 all time cases, 77, 895 patients are no more, while  2, 640, 300 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Germany with 233, 634 active cases of the pandemic(24, 257 new and 329 deaths*) and South Africa now 19th country worst hit with 1, 553,609 confirmations, 53, 173 patients have passed on while 1, 480, 632 others have been treated and discharged, leaving South Africa with 19, 804 active cases of Coronavirus(756 new and 62 deaths*).
