    LAGOS, Nigeria – Mrs. Natasha Akpoti -Udua, who is seeking to be elected  as a senator in Kogi Central Senatorial District has alleged that the Kogi State Governor, Mr. Yahaya Bello has threatened to cut off fingers of anybody who will vote for opposition in the 2023 election.

    Natasha Akpoti-Udua who was speaking on Arise TV said the governor made the threat when he visited her people and that what he said was recorded on video, wherein he said that that violence in the 2023 election will be worst that 2019 when he visited violence on his people killing and maiming and even using police helicopter to attack electorates who have gathered to elect their candidates.

    Natasha Akpoti-Udua said the governor vowed to cut off the fingers of anybody who dared to vote against the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC in Kogi State and make them to serve his late father as perpetual slaves.

    The pretty politician, who was once a governorship candidate said the governor plotted with his group to visit her compound, plant evidence and invite the police and other security agencies in the presence of cameras to prepare ground for her arrest.

    “When we got a hint of the development, we wrote the DSS, the Inspector General of Police to intimate them of the development”, she said on the television channel.

    She said the Kogi State Governor is angry because prominent thugs he used to kill and maim electorates in Kogi in the 2019 election have repented and are now preaching the gospel of peace in the state in other to enthrone development.

    She said the governor was infuriated that after giving one of the thugs N500,000 in two tranches for his business and marriage, the thug decided to turn his back on the APC and has decamped to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

    She said the DSS has indeed arrested one of the former APC thug, who has now repented and she is begging that the man should not be killed but should be used as a state witness to enable him make confession of all the atrocities committed in Kogi State and bring the key players to book.
