    Coronavirus: India reports 401, 078 new 4187 deaths as total cases drop to 7055 in Nigeria

    LAGOS – The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 30 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 165,370. But out of the 165,370 confirmed cases, 156,250 patients have been treated and discharged while 2,065 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7055 active cases of Coronavirus.

    “NCDC@NCDC gov 30 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-21, Adamawa-8 and Rivers-1; 165,370 confirmed ;156,250 discharged ;2,065 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 157, 124, 615 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 3, 274, 727 lives have been lost to the pandemic, while 93, 235, 116 others have recovered.

    There are now 60, 614,772 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting  32,  678, 702  confirmed cases of Coronavirus while 581, 451 patients have died from the pandemic(33, 830 new and 640 deaths*), followed by India which has documented  21, 892, 676  all time cases, 238, 270 lives have been lost to the pandemic, while 17, 930, 960  others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 3, 723, 446  active cases of Coronavirus(401, 078 new and 4187 deaths*) and Brazil which  has registered 15, 082, 449 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 419, 114 lives are no more, while 13, 414, 683 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 248, 652  active cases of Coronavirus(211 new and 7 deaths*).

    France is  the 4th country  most afflicted, reporting  5, 829, 166  all time infections, 106, 438 lives are no more, while 371,076 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 5, 351, 652  active cases of Coronavirus(20, 759 new and 176 deaths*),  followed by Turkey which has registered 5,016, 141 confirmations, 42, 746 patients are no more, while 4, 691, 224 others have survived, leaving France with 282, 171  active cases of Coronavirus(18, 052 new and 281 deaths*) and  Russia, which has documented 4, 816, 331 confirmed cases, 111,097 deaths and 4, 437, 289 recoveries, leaving Russia with 267, 945 active cases of Coronavirus(8193 new and 362 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom remains the 7th most affected country, now reporting 4, 448, 808  total cases confirmed, 127, 863  lives are no more,  while 15,011 others have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 305, 934  active cases of Coronavirus(2056 new and 5 deaths*) , followed by Italy with 4, 102, 921  confirmed cases, 122, 694 patients have passed on while 3, 590, 107 others have recovered, leaving Italy with 390, 120 active cases of Coronavirus(9544 new and  224 deaths*)and Spain which has reported 3, 567, 408  confirmations,  78, 792 patients have passed on while 150, 376 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Spain with 3, 338, 240 active cases of Coronavirus.

    Germany remains the 10th country worst hit, reporting 3, 520, 330   confirmed cases, 84, 668 lives are no more, while 3, 160, 630 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Germany with 275, 032  active cases of Coronavirus(12, 600 new and 170 deaths*) and South Africa which has reported  1, 592, 626  confirmed cases,  54, 687   lives have been wasted by the pandemic, while 1, 513, 202 others  have been treated and discharged, leaving South Africa with 24, 737 active cases of Coronavirus.
