August 12, 2014 – Inspector General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba has decorated three newly promoted Commissioners of Police. They are CP Aminchi Samaila Baraya, CP Alkali Baba Usman and CP Dan Bature.
In a press statement, Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Frank Mba said the decoration was the first since the IGP came on board.
He called on the newly promoted commissioners to see their elevation to the new rank as a clarion call for higher dedication to duty, noting that to whom much is given, much is expected.
The IGP further enjoins the Senior Police Officers to be alive to the happenings around them and to make themselves readily accessible not only to the officers and men under them but also to the entire members of the public.
