    Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 52 cases as 1164 patients die in Russia

    Nigeria reports 52 cases of Coronavirus

    LAGOS, Nigeria -The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 52 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 212, 765.

    But out of the 212, 765 all time cases,  204, 261 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 906 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 5598 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.

    NCDC: 52  new cases of #COVID19Nigeria: Cross River -32, Lagos – 12,  Enugu -8,  Plateau – 7,  Rivers – 5, FCT- 3, Bauchi – 2,  Abia – 1, Kano -1: 212, 765  confirmed;  204, 261 discharged;  2, 906 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 250, 246, 902  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5,054,097 patients have lost their lives, while 7,283,901,279 doses of vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most hit country, reporting 46,574,414 all time cases, while 755,162  lives are no more(91, 577 new and 771 deaths#), followed by India, which has reported 34, 366,987 all time cases, while 461,057 patients have kicked the bucket(11, 478 new and 266 deaths#) and Brazil now reporting  21, 880, 439 all time cases, while 609,447 patients could not make it alive(6115 new and 59 deaths#).

    The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit by the pandemic, reporting 9, 379,041 all time infections and 142,293 deaths(32, 083 new and 57 deaths#), followed by Russia, which has registered  8, 689,818 all time cases of the virus, while 243, 405 patients have kicked the bucket(38, 257 new and 1164 deaths#) and Turkey with 8, 261, 473 all time infections and 72,314 deaths(27, 824 new and 193 deaths#).

    France is the 7th country most hit, reporting 7, 321,767  confirmed cases, while 118,924 lives are no more(2241 new and  58 deaths#), followed by Iran, with 5, 996, 155 total cases of infections, while 127,439 others have kicked the bucket (8341 new and 140 deaths#) and Argentina which has confirmed  5, 296,781 confirmations and 116, 104 deaths(593 new and 13 deaths#).

    Spain is the 10th country most hit globally, reporting  5, 032,056 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 87, 558 patients could not make it alive(6417 new and 54 deaths#)  and South Africa, which remains the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has reported  2, 924,072 all time infections, while 89, 352 other patients could not make it alive(116 new and 20 deaths#).
