Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 155 new 2498 active as France lists 129, 347 as cases

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 155 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 63,328.

But out of the 63,328 all time cases, 59,675 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, while 1,155 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 2498 active cases of Coronavirus, #coronavirusngr.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-85, Abuja-23, Ondo-18, Ogun-8, Kaduna-5, Oyo-5, Taraba-5, Kano-3, Rivers-2 and Bauchi-1, making a total of 155 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 47, 886, 677 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 221, 346 patients have been killed by the virus, while  31, 736, 353 others have been treated and discharged. There are now 14, 928, 978 active cases of Coronavirus globally, based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected, reporting  9, 441, 473 confirmed cases,  233, 265 deaths, while  3, 705, 130 others have recovered, leaving the US with 5, 503, 078 active cases of Coronavirus(96, 756 new cases), followed by India which has documented 8, 313, 876 all time cases,  123, 611 patients have passed on, while  7, 656, 478 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving India with 533, 787 active cases of Coronavirus(46, 253 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 5, 566,049 all time cases,  160, 496  deaths, while  5,060, 697 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 344, 856 active cases of Coronavirus(1, 843 new cases).

Russia is next as the 4th country most hit, reporting 1, 680,579  confirmed cases,  28, 996 deaths and  1, 259,194 recoveries, leaving Russia with 392, 389 active cases of Coronavirus(19, 483 new cases), followed by France which has documented 1, 590,092 confirmations,  38, 721 deaths and 126, 151 recoveries, leaving France with 1, 425, 220 active cases of Coronavirus(129, 347 new cases) and Spain which has reported  1, 284,408 all time cases,  38, 118 patients are already dead, while 150, 376 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 1, 095, 914 sick patients hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(25, 042 new cases).

Argentina has come up as the 7th country most affected by Coronavirus, reporting 1, 195,276 confirmations,  32, 052 deaths and  1,009,278 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 153, 946 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 145 new cases), followed by  the United Kingdom which reported 1, 102,290 confirmed cases till date,  47, 832 patients have been killed by the virus, while only  2, 918 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving the UK with 1, 051, 540 patients still very sick, hoping for the best of medical  care to keep living(45, 245 new cases) and  Colombia which has documented 1, 099,392 confirmed cases,  31, 847 deaths and  993,877 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Colombia with 73, 668 active cases of Coronavirus(6, 136 new cases).

Mexico remains as the 10th most afflicted country with 938, 405 confirmations,  92, 593 deaths and 803, 086 recoveries, leaving Mexico with 42, 726 active cases of Coronavirus(5, 240 new cases) and Italy as the 12 most affected country with 790, 377  confirmed cases,  39, 764 deaths and 307,378 recoveries, leaving Italy with 443, 235 active cases of Coronavirus(30, 548 new cases) and South Africa which has reported 728,836 all time cases, 19, 585  deaths and  660, 185 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 49, 066 active cases of Coronavirus.
