LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 94 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 64, 184.

Out of the 64,184 all time cases,  60,069 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1, 158 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 2957 active cases of Coronavirus, #coronavirusngr.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-50, Abuja-24,  Kwara-9,  Edo-4,  Kaduna-3,  Ondo-2 and Plateau-2, making a total of 94 new cases of Coronavirus.

“NCDC@NCDCgov94 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-50, FCT-24,  Kwara-9,  Edo-4,  Kaduna-3,  Ondo-2 and Plateau-2; 64,184 confirmed 60,069 discharged 1,158 deaths”, the NCDC said in a statement.

There are now 50, 768, 019 confirmed cases of Coronavirus globally,  1, 260, 990 patients are already dead, while  33, 140, 472 others have survived the  pandemic. The world is now left with 16, 366, 557 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country, reporting 10,044, 002  confirmed cases,  237, 860 patients are already dead, while  3, 881, 558 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the United States with  5, 924, 584 active cases of Coronavirus, followed by India which has documented 8, 553, 657 confirmations,  126, 611 deaths and  7, 917, 373 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 509, 673 active cases of Coronavirus and Brazil which has reported 5, 664, 115 confirmed cases,  162, 397 deaths and 5, 147,  172 active cases of Coronavirus, leaving Brazil with 354, 546 active cases of Coronavirus.

France has come up as  the 4th most afflicted country reporting 1, 855, 342 confirmations,  41, 038 deaths, while 135, 216 patients have overcome the pandemic, leaving France with 1, 679, 088 active cases of Coronavirus, followed by Russia, which has been pushed to the 5th most affected country with  1, 781,997 confirmed cases, 30, 546 patients have been killed by the virus, while  1, 326, 568 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Russia with 424, 883 active cases of Coronavirus and Spain which has documented  1, 381, 218 confirmations,  39, 345 deaths and 150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 1, 191, 497 active cases of Coronavirus.

Argentina  remains the 7th country worst hit, reporting  1, 242, 182 cases since the outset of the pandemic,  33, 560 deaths and  1, 062, 911 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 145, 711 active cases of Coronavirus, followed by  the United Kingdom which has recorded 1, 216, 742 confirmed cases,  49, 329 deaths, while  0nly, 2,990 patients have recovered, leaving the UK with 1, 164, 423 active cases of Coronavirus followed by  Colombia which has reported  1, 143,  887 confirmations,  32, 791 deaths and 1, 038, 082 recoveries, leaving Colombia with 73, 014 active cases of Coronavirus.

Mexico remains as the 10th country most hit with  967, 825 confirmed cases,  95, 027 patients have passed on while  824, 355 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Mexico with 48, 443 active cases and Italy with 960, 373 confirmations,  41, 750 deaths and  345, 289 recoveries, leaving Italy with 573,334 active cases and South Africa which has documented  738, 525  confirmed cases,  19, 845 deaths and  680, 726 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 37, 954 active cases of Coronavirus.
