    Coronavirus: New cases down to 159 in Nigeria 1559 killed in USA

    Coronavirus kills 1559 patients in the United States

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 159 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to  211, 330.

    But out of the  211, 330 total cases,  202, 803 patients have been treated and discharged, while  2, 884 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 5643 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.

    NCDC: 159 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria: FCT – 28, Lagos, 28,  Nasarawa – 25,  Plateau – 24,  Kawara – 22, Delta – 8,  Kano – 8,  Rivers – 7, Edo – 2,  Bauchi – 2, Bayelsa – 2,  Kaduna – 1, Sokoto -1, Taraba – 1:  211, 330 confirmed; 202, 803 discharged;  2, 884 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 244, 493, 441 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 963, 243 patients have passed on, while 6,852, 950,580  doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 45, 609, 021  confirmed cases of Coronavirus, while 738, 877 patients have kicked the bucket(63, 428 new and 1559 deaths#), followed by India with 34, 202, 202 all time cases, while 455,068 patients have been killed by the pandemic and Brazil, which has documented 21, 748, 984 all time cases, while 606, 246 other patients could not make it alive(13, 424 new and 442 deaths#).

    The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit with the Coronavirus pandemic, reporting 8, 894, 843  all time infections, while 140, 253 lives have been snatched away by the pandemic,(43, 739 new and 263 deaths#) followed by Russia which has reported 8, 185,400  confirmed cases, while 228,581 lives have been destroyed by the pandemic(35, 454 new and 1075 deaths#) and Turkey which has reported 7, 909, 081 all time cases, while 69,559  other patients have perished(29, 643 new and 215 deaths#).

    France continues as the 7th country most hit, reporting  7, 235, 100 all time cases, while 118,490 patients have given up the ghost(6769 new and 38 deaths#), followed by Iran with 5, 877, 456 all time infections and 125,519 deaths(9096 new and 156 deaths#) and Argentina which has registered  5, 283, 000 total cases and 115, 866 deaths(1415 new and 15 deaths#).

    Spain is the 10th country worst hit by Coronavirus, with 5, 004, 143  confirmations, while 87, 238 patients have died from the pandemic(1926 new and 52 deaths#), followed by South Africa, which is the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has documented 2, 920,109 total cases of infections, while 88, 987 patients could not make it alive(331 new and 54 deaths#).
