LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 75 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 252, 753.
But out of the 252, 753 total cases, 228, 137 patients have been treated and discharged, while 3, 134 patients could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 21, 482 active cases of Coronavirus while 1 patient died in the last 24 hours.
“NCDC: 75 new cases of # COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 33, Gombe – 13, FCT – 11, Osun -8, Edo -3, Rivers – 3, Plateau -2, Kaduna – 1, Kano -1: 252, 753 confirmed; 228, 137 discharged; 3, 134 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 361, 022, 822 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 623, 530 patients have passed on, while 9,872, 246,991 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 72, 558, 842 total cases, while 874, 886 patients have passed on(504, 275 new and 3403 deaths#), followed by India, which has reported 40, 085, 116 all time cases, while 491, 127 other patients have perished(285, 914 new and 665 deaths#) and Brazil, which has reported 24, 342,322 all time cases, while 624, 129 patients could not make it alive(200, 290 new and 493 deaths#).
France has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 17, 848, 291 all time cases while 130,739 patients have passed on(427, 760 new and 256 deaths#), followed by the United Kingdom, which has documented 16, 260, 295 all time infections, while 155,221 other patients could not make it alive(102, 712 new and 351 deaths#) and Turkey, reporting 11, 167, 927 total cases and 86, 487 deaths(77, 434 new 188 deaths#).
Russia has been pushed down to the 7th place among country most hit, reporting 11, 129, 318 total cases, while 321, 484 patients have lost their lives(74, 072 new and 640 deaths#), followed by Italy, now reporting 10, 383, 561 total cases and 144, 770 deaths(170, 940 new 427 deaths#) and Spain, which has registered 9, 529, 320 all time infections and 92,591 deaths(133, 553 new and 215 deaths#).
Germany is still the 10th country most hit with 9, 145, 836 total cases, while 117, 166 patients have kicked the bucket(189, 308 new and 160 deaths#) and South Africa, the most affected country in Africa. South Africa has documented 3, 590, 399 all time cases and 94, 491 deaths(4511 new and 94 deaths#).
