    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 119 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing all time cases to 62,111.

    However, out of the 62,111  all time cases, 57,571 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,132  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3, 408 active cases of Coronavirus, #coronavirusngr.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-77,  FCT-26,  Plateau-9,  Edo-4, Oyo-2 and Nasarawa-1, making a total of 119 new cases of Coronavirus.,

    “NCDC@NCDCgov119 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-77,  FCT-26,  Plateau-9,  Edo-4, Oyo-2 and Nasarawa-1; 62,111 confirmed, 57,571 discharged, 1,132 deaths”, the NCDC has said in a statement.

    There are now 43, 378, 449 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide,  1, 157, 284 deaths, while 29, 039,929 others have recovered, leaving the world with 13, 181, 236 active cases of Coronavirus  based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 8, 687,289 confirmed cases, 225, 580 patients have been killed by the virus, while 3, 422, 934 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the United States with 5, 038, 775 active cases of Coronavirus(60, 752 new cases), followed by India with 7, 909, 959 confirmations,  119, 014 deaths and 7, 137,  228 recoveries, leaving India with 653, 717 active cases of Coronavirus(45, 148 new cases) and Brazil which has documented 5, 394, 128 cases over time,  157, 134 patients are already dead, while 4, 526, 393 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 710, 601 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 493 new cases).

    Russia comes in as the 4th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 1,520,800 all time cases,  26, 092 patients are already dead, while  1, 140, 333 others now have a clean slate, leaving Russia with 354, 375 active cases of the virus(17, 148 new cases), followed by  France with 1, 208, 924 confirmations, 36, 046 deaths and  115, 559 recoveries, leaving France with 1, 057, 319 active cases of Coronavirus(78, 239 new cases) and Spain which has reported  1, 098, 320 confirmed cases,  35, 031 deaths and  150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 912, 913 patients still sick and in urgent need of medical care(52, 188 new cases).

    Argentina follows as the 7th country worst hit by the virus, reporting, 1,090,589 cases confirmed over time,  28, 896 deaths and 894, 819 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 166, 874 active cases of Coronavirus(9, 253 new cases), followed by Colombia with 1,015, 885 confirmed cases,   30, 000 patients are now more, while 907, 379 others have been treated and asked to go home, leaving Colombia with 78, 506 active cases of Coronavirus(8, 174 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has suffered the highest casualty in Europe. The United Kingdom has documented 897,737 confirmations, 45, 088 patients have been killed by the virus, while only  2, 701 patients have survived despite advancement in medical science, leaving the UK with 849, 948 sick patients to cater for(20, 897 new cases).

    Mexico has come up as the 10th country worst hit with 891, 160 confirmed cases, 88, 924 patients have given up the ghost, while 752, 691 others have recovered, leaving Mexico with 49, 545 active cases of Coronavirus(4, 360 new cases), followed by Peru with 888, 715 confirmations, 34, 149 deaths and   807, 636 recoveries, leaving Peru with 46, 930 active cases(2, 501 new cases) and South Africa with 716,759 confirmations,  19,008 deaths and 646, 721 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 23, 108 active cases(891 new cases) and Italy which has reported 542, 789 confirmations, 37, 479 deaths and 268, 626 recoveries, leaving  Italy with 236, 684 active cases of Coronavirus(17, 007 new cases) and China with 91, 151 confirmed cases, 4, 739 deaths and   86,002 recoveries, leaving China with 410 active cases.
