Not less than 25 children have been rescued by officials of the Lagos State Government from an alleged child trafficker at Egbeda area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.  The suspect, Mrs Rosemary Nwachukwu was arrested and detained at the Alausa Police Station, while the children have been taken into custody by the Lagos State Government. Nwachukwu allegedly operate an illegal orphanage by the name; Saint Stephen Charity Foundation, a home for orphans and less privileged located at Number 30/32 Abiodun Adebanbo Street, Egbeda. Protea Hotel situated on Isaac John Street in GRA,Ikeja, Lagos was this evening gutted by fire, damaging properties worth millions of Naira.    At about 5 PM when we arrived at the scene, the fire had been put off but we gathered that the inferno erupted from an 800 KVA generator that exploded after working for several hours.  The incident threw the area into confusion with many scampering for safety. Gymnastic Association in Lagos State has begun the search for Olympic champions through the inter-club competition coming up from Friday 23rd to Saturday 24th of August, 2013 at the indoor hall of Lagos State Sports Council, Rowe Park, Yaba. Lagos State Government has demolished a three-story shopping complex under construction at Oshodi area of Lagos. The shopping complex is situated at Ireti-Oluwa Street along Apapa-Oshodi Express way in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area.
