Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued the timetable for the Governorship election in Anambra State slated for November 16th, 2013. According to the timetable released by the electoral umpire, activities for the election will start August 13 with the notice of election. It will be followed by commencement of campaigns by political parties in August 18th. Candidates for the election are expected to collect forms from INEC office in Abuja on 26th August. The Lagos State Governor Mr. Babatunde Fashola has ordered his aides to unseal the Park View Estate property belonging to the former Governor of Abia State, Mr. Orji Uzor Kalu. Fashola also directed that the former governor be given 14 days grace period to pay up the land use charge he is deemed to owe the state government. Lagos State government has advised real estate agents and property consultants in the state to commence their registration with the Lagos State Real Estate Transaction Department (LASRETRAD) in compliance with the law that established the department. Lagos state government has cushioned the effect of the loss of triplets in year 2010 by Mr and Mrs Olayinka Yussuf Shitta Bay at the Lagos Island maternity hospital in Lagos island with the sum of Two Hundred Thousand Naira.
