Return of the Taraba State Governor, Mr.  Dambaba Suntai  to the state after over 10 months sojourn abroad for medical treatment has thrown the state into confusion without any clear cut information about who is actually in charge of governance in the state. The Lagos State Government has said that against what was reported in the press, it neither terminated nor cancelled the Concession agreement it entered with the Lekki Concession Company(LCC) to reconstruct and expand the 49.36 km Eti-Osa Lekki-Epe Expressway. “To set the records straight, Lagos State Government is engaged in buying back the rights pertaining to the concession ahead of the 30-year period stipulated in the Design, Build, Operate and Transfer (DBOT) Concession Agreement. The Lagos State House of Assembly is working on the 2013 appropriation act to allow the state government take over Lekki Concession Company (LCC). LCC is concessionaire of the Lekki Epe Expressway and is currently in charge of toll collection from motorists passing through the road.
