The Lagos State Government has cautioned the Federal Government on what it what it called indiscriminate arrest of innocent residents around Idimu/Ejigbo areas for activities related to oil pollution of underground water. The Lagos State Government has said it will soon embark on mass demolition of illegal structures erected on waterways across the state, on petroleum pipelines and under high tension cables. Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Tunji Bello made the disclosure during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise at Mosan Okunola of Lagos State. The Governor Babatunde Fashola-led Lagos State Government has relieved the General Manager of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Dr. Ola Oresanya of his responsibility in the waste management agency. Census Tribunal sitting in Abuja has nullified the 2006 census results in 14 Local Governments in Lagos State. The affected local governments are Amuwo-Odofin, Eti-Osa, Alimosho, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere, Epe,  Ifako-Ijaye,  Badagry and Apapa. Others are Ojo, Ajeromi-Ifelodun and Ikeja.  At least five streets were affected in each of the local governments, with 13  areas affected in Eti-Osa and Apapa local government. Producers of pornographic films in the United States have shut down production indefinitely in Los Angeles after a porn actress tested positive to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), the trade association has said. The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola  has advocated for deletion of section 285 (6) of the 1999 Constitution as amended concerning the time limit placed on the hearing of election petitions by Election Tribunals. Fashola who spoke at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) conference in Calabar said section 285 has neither improved the electoral process nor advanced the course of Justice.
