February 3, 2015 – Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Lagos West Senatorial district today embarked on a peaceful protest to the Governor’s office in Ikeja over what they called violent attacks from supporters of the PDP candidate in the area, Segun Adewale.
The Senatorial office of the APC candidate, Solomon Olamilekan was also attacked last week with many injured and some of his vehicles riddled with bullets.
The leader of the protesters, Ola Williams who also received some wounds called on the state government to provide maximum security for members of the party and residents of the senatorial district.
She said the police have refused to take action despite evidence of the attacks at their disposal.Some of the placards carried by the protesters reads “Governor FASHOLA save us from Segun Adewale thugs”, ‘Our lives is no longer safe in Alimosho” and “Must election be a do or die affair”.
