UMUAHIA, Abia, Nigeria – The Catholic Youths Organization of Nigeria, (CYON), Christ the King Catholic Church, CKC, Aba, has vowed to support All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship Candidate in Abia state Prof. Gregory Ibe and his deputy Obinna Ichita in the 2023 general election.
They expressed their unalloyed support to the APGA candidate in Umuahia, Abia state capital. The CYON Youths made their pledge when they visited the Hon. member representing Aba South State Constituency, Obinna Ichita.
Abia APGA Guber Candidate, Greg Ibe had picked Ichita as running mate ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The Spokesperson of the delegation, Ezinwa Duru, thanked Professor Greg Ibe, for choosing Ichita as his running mate just as he expressed optimism that they will emerge victorious at the polls.
The Youths who said the people of Abia are tired of the PDP led administration in the state, noted that they are poised to pray for Greg and Ichita to grab the seat of governance so as to change the ugly narrative in the state.
Responding, Ichita thanked the group, stating that that the group made it very clear that the interest of Abia state is paramount, irrespective of whatever circumstance.
The State Lawmaker advised Abians to jettison anything that would divide them and concentrate on ensuring that they get it right by electing leaders who care about the people of Abia in 2023.
According to him, having a paradigm shift in Abia State should be the focus of all as the general elections draw near.
He appealed to the electorates to ensure they get their Permanent Voter Cards which according to him is their power to enthrone good governance in the state.
