LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 422 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to  178, 508. But out of the  178, 508 confirmed cases, 165, 982 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 192 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 10, 334 active cases of Coronavirus, while 5 patients have died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 203,258, 201 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide,  4, 300, 895  patients have passed on while  4, 445, 167, 065 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting  35, 937, 086  confirmed cases, while 617, 303 patients are no more(179, 106 new and 290 deaths*), followed by India, which has registered 31, 969, 954 all time cases, while 428, 309 patients have died from the pandemic(35, 499 new and 447 deaths*) and Brazil now with 20, 165, 672  all time cases, while 563, 151 patients have passed on(13, 893 new and 399 deaths*).

Russia  remains the 4^th country most afflicted, reporting 6, 384, 195 all time cases, while 162, 860 lives have perished due to the virus(21, 554 new and 751 deaths*), followed by France which has documented 6, 373, 825 all time cases while 112,421 patients are no more alive(2476 new and 14 deaths*)  and the United Kingdom which has reported 6, 123,007  all time infections, while 130, 667  patients have kicked the bucket(25, 013 new and 43 deaths*).

Turkey  has come up as the 7^th country  most hit, reporting 5,918, 510  all time infections, while 52, 196 patients have been killed by the virus(22, 669 new and 108 deaths*), followed by Argentina with 5, 029, 075 all time cases while 107, 961 patients are now dead(16, 321 new and 659 deaths*) and Colombia which has registered 4, 843, 007 all time cases, while 122, 601 patients have perished(8373 new and 324 deaths*).

Spain has documented 4, 627,770 confirmations, while 82, 125 patients have died(39, 638 new and 119 deaths*) and South Africa, now reporting  2, 540, 222 all time cases and 75, 012 deaths since the outset of the pandemic(6756 new and 199 deaths*).
