    1n 24 hours Coronavirus kills 3417 people in India as Nigeria list 18 cases

    Coronavirus takes over 3000 lives in India

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 18 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases in the country to 165,199. But out of the 165,199 confirmed cases, 155,371 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,063 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7765 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.  

     

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-8, FCT-6,  Edo-2,  Rivers-1 and  Ogun-1, making a total of 18 cases of Coronavirus.

    “NCDC@NCDCgov18 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-8,  FCT-6,  Edo-2,  Rivers-1 and  Ogun-1; 165,199 confirmed; 155,371 discharged ;2,063 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    Globally, there are currently 153, 093, 191 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 3, 206, 767 patients have lost their lives to the pandemic, while 89, 807,  559 others have recovered and therefore discharged. The world is now left with 60, 078, 865 active cases of Coronavirus  based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 32, 459,  810 confirmations, while 577, 462 patients have been killed by the pandemic(44, 465 new and 455 deaths*), followed by India which has documented  19, 925, 604  confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 218, 959 deaths and 16, 293, 003 recoveries, leaving India with 3, 413, 642 active cases of Coronavirus(368, 147 new  and 3417 deaths*) and Brazil, which has registered  14, 754, 910  all time infections, 407, 639 patients have passed on while 13, 091, 798 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 255, 473 active cases of Coronavirus(28, 935 new and 1202 deaths*).

    France has come up as the 4th country worst hit, now reporting 5, 717, 153 all time infections, 105, 291 patients are no more alive, while 363,036 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving France with 5, 248, 826 active cases of Coronavirus(3760 new and 311 deaths*), followed by Turkey with 4, 900, 121 all time infections,  41, 191 lives have been lost, while 4, 515, 819 others have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving Turkey with 343, 111 active cases of Coronavirus(24, 733 new and 347 deaths*)  and Russia which has reported 4, 776, 844 all time cases, 109,341 patients have passed on while 4, 399, 609 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Russia with 267, 894 active cases of Coronavirus(8368 new and 330 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most hit, now reporting 4, 437, 483 confirmed cases of Coronavirus,  127, 797 deaths and 14, 684 recoveries, leaving the UK with 4, 295, 002 active cases of the virus(1652 new and 1 deaths*), followed by Italy with 4, 050, 708 total infections, 121, 433 patients are no more, while 3, 505, 717 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Italy with 423, 558 active cases of Coronavirus(5946 new and 256 deaths*) and Spain which has documented 3, 540, 430 confirmed cases of the pandemic,  78, 293 patients are no more, while 150, 376 patients remain the constant figure of those who have officially recovered, leaving Spain with 3, 311, 761 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 353 new and 77 deaths*).

    Germany has come up as the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 3, 438, 178 confirmations, 83,362 lives have been lost to the pandemic, while 3, 053, 770 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Germany with 301, 046 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 313 new and 147 deaths*) and South Africa, now 20 in the league of most afflicted countries.

    South Africa has reported 1, 584, 961 all time infections,  54, 452 deaths and 1, 508, 558 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 21, 951 active cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria(2119 new and 35 deaths*)
