LAGOS, Nigeria –The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 877 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 150,246. But out of the confirmed 150,246 confirmed cases, 126, 417 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1803 others are dead, leaving Nigeria with 22,026 active cases, while 16 patients died in the last 24 hours.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-273, Kaduna-87, Rivers-58, Akwa Ibom-47, Ebonyi-47, Edo-46, Ogun-46, Abia-34, Imo-34, Kano-34, Oyo-26, Osun-22, Gombe-20, Ekiti-19, Cross River-15, FCT-15, Plateau-11, Enugu-9, Kebbi-8, Borno-7, Niger-6, Bayelsa-5, Nasarawa-4, Kwara-2, Katsina-1 and Sokoto-1, making a total of 877 new cases.

There are now 110,174,357 confirmed cases of Coronavirus globally, 2, 436, 774 lives have been snatched away by Coronavirus, while 62, 044, 843 others have been treated and discharged. The world is now left with 45, 692, 740 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States still remains the most afflicted, reporting 27, 876, 525 confirmed cases, while 492, 302 others have died from the virus(64, 908 new and 2369 deaths*), followed by India, which has reported 10, 950, 201 confirmed cases, 156, 014 patients are already dead, while 10, 656, 845 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 127, 342 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 881 new and 101 deaths*), followed by Brazil which has reported 9, 978, 747 confirmations, 242, 090 deaths and 8, 954, 177 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 782, 480 active cases of Coronavirus.
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 4, 095, 157 confirmed cases, 119, 614 patients have passed on, while 11, 103 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving the UK with 3, 964, 440 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 106 new and 455 deaths*), followed by Russia, which has registered 4,079,407 all time cases, 80, 587 deaths and 3, 620, 551 recoveries, leaving Russia with 378, 269 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 243 new and 469 deaths*) and France, now reporting 3, 596, 142 confirmations, 83, 542 patients are no more while 253,337 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving France with 3, 259, 263 Coronavirus patients(22, 672 new and 271deaths*).
Spain has come up as the 7th country most afflicted by the pandemic, reporting 3, 121, 687 confirmed cases, 66, 704 patients are already dead, while 150, 376 others have been discharged, leaving Spain with 2, 904, 607 Coronavirus patients, followed(14, 515 new and 388 deaths*) by Italy now reporting, 2, 765, 412 confirmations, 94, 887 patients are no more, while 2, 286,024 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Italy with 384, 501 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 755 new and 347 deaths*) and Turkey, reporting 2, 616,600 all time infections, 27, 821 deaths and 2, 504, 050 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 84, 729 active cases of Coronavirus(7241 new and 83 deaths*).
Germany remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 2, 372,170 confirmed cases, 66, 951 patients have kicked the bucket, while 2, 173, 359 others are hale and hearty, leaving Germany with 131, 860 active cases of Coronavirus(9818 new and 524 deaths*) and South Africa which has documented 1, 496, 439 all time infections, 48, 708 patients are no more, while 1, 403, 214 others have survived the pandemic and therefore discharged, leaving South Africa with 43, 517 active cases of Coronavirus(230 deaths*).
