July 17, 2015 – Muslims in the country have been urged not to jettison the virtues and good conduct exemplified during the month of Ramadan.
Live with virtues of Ramadan, Muslims told
President of the University of Lagos Muslim Alumni, Alhaji Akeeb Oladokun gave this advise in a message to mark the Muslim Edel-Fitri celebration. He said this is the time to reflect on the gains of the month long Ramadan fast for them to reap bountiful rewards from Allah and in order to make the society a better one.
The UMA President in the statement stated that Nigerians all over should continue to display the spirit of love sharing and peace which were the major virtues they display during the Ramadhan period.
Parts of the stamens read ” it is in our hope that people will continue to display the virtues we enjoy diring the fasting period hence there is need for us to continue to share love and promote peace”. End of quote.
He asked Nigerians to exercise patience and contribute their quota towards total eradication of insurgency in the country.
Oladokun also challenged government at all levels to renew their commitment and passion towards in the provision of basic needs of the citizenry in order to curb the spread of poverty in the country.
He asked the Muslim ummah to celebrate with modesty and extends hands of fellowship to people living around them.
