LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed  428 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, bringing all time cases to 244, 548.

But out of the 244, 548 total cases,  216,  814 patients have been treated and discharged, while 3, 053 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 24, 681 active cases of Coronavirus, while 8 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 294, 487, 701 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide,  5, 454, 555 patients  have passed on, while 9, 241,887, 841  doses of Coronavirus vaccines  have been administered  worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins  University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 56, 697, 387  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 829, 091 patients are no more(728, 485 new and 1779 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 34, 960, 261 all time cases, while 482, 017 patients could not make it alive(37, 379 new and 124 deaths#), and Brazil with 22, 309, 081 total cases and 619, 473  deaths(11, 654 new and  72 deaths#).

The United Kingdom remains the 4^th country most hit, reporting  13, 719, 710 total cases of infections and 149, 415 deaths(222, 435 new and 49 deaths#), followed by France with  10, 694, 804 total cases of the pandemic, while 125, 551 patients could not make it alive(271, 974 new and 351 deaths#) and Russia, which has reported 10, 390, 052 all time infections, while 305, 906 patients could not survive the pandemic(15, 760 new and 810 deaths#).

Turkey remains the 7^th country most hit, reporting 9, 599, 640  all time cases and 82, 795 deaths, followed by Germany, which has reported 7, 279, 037 all time infections, while 112, 707 patients have kicked the bucket(43, 829 new and 375 deaths#) and Spain with 6, 785, 286 all time cases, while 89, 689 others have perished(169, 668 new and 122 deaths#).

Iran remains the 10^th country most hit, reporting 6, 200,296 total cases and 131,736 deaths(1706 new and 34 deaths#) and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has reported 3, 483,590 total cases of infections and 91, 451 deaths(8078 new and 139 deaths#).
