October 21, 2014 – Afe Babalola University today held a graduation ceremony during which 37 young ladies and 10 young men passed out with First Class honours, making a total of 47 students passing out with First Class.
Ogunbunsola Oluwatosin from the Department of Economics emerged overall best graduating student and was given automatic employment by Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose.
The governor also presented a cash reward of N1 million to the young lady adding that she will immediately be employed into the State Public Service after her National Youth Service Corp(NYSC).
Speaking at the event, Pro-chancellor of the University , Professor Iyonwuese Hagher called on the Federal Government to extend TECH fund to the private universities in the country since they also pay taxes to the Federal Government.
