LAGOS, Nigeria – Labour will at 12 midnight today commence nationwide indefinite strike.
In a statement signed by Comrade Emmanuel Ugboaja, General Secretary, Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC and Secretary General, Trade Union Congress, TUC, Comrade Nuhu Toro directed affiliate councils to issue circulars for maximum compliance.
Labour is embarking on the strike over brutalisation of NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero by thugs led by Special Adviser to Hope Uzodimma on Special duty, Chinasa Nwaneri and other demands of labour.
Among the demands is payment of salary arrears to Imo State workers among others.
