The three man tribunal presided over by Justice Arum Ashom threw out the petitions of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and that of the Labour Party for lack of merit.
The PDP Governorship candidate, Olajide Adediran and that of the Labour Party, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour had challenged the election of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and that of his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.
In an unanimous decision, the tribunal held that all the issues raised by the petitioners are pre-election matters of which the tribunal lacks jurisdiction to entertain.
Other members of the panel are Justice Mikail Abdullahi and Justice Igho Braimoh.
Sanwo-Olu scored 762,134 votes to defeat his closest rival, Rhodes-Vivour, who polled 312,329. The candidate of the PDP, Adediran, came third with 62,449 votes.
