AWKA, Anambra – Coordinator of All Progressive Congress (APC), Presidential Campaign Management Council in Anambra State, Senator Margret Okadigbo has spoken of the rebirth of the party ahead of its mega rally slated for Tuesday.
According to her the party is now one, focused and a united family. She made the statement during the tour of Anambra State own Alex Ekwueme Square facility for its presidential campaign rally slated for Tuesday, January 31st, 2023 in Awka, the State Capital on Saturday.
Okadigbo said the party has been taken back to the wards which is grassroots of all political activities.
” Every member of the party belong to the ward, I as a person belong to a ward. We have seriously mobilise our members in various wards “she said.
The APC State Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike during the tour disclosed that governor Charles Soludo has granted APC the approval to use the state own Alex Ekwueme Square facility for its presidential campaign rally slated for Tuesday, January 31st, 2023 in Awka, the State Capital.
The approval was made known to newsmen in Awka, on Saturday evening by the APC State Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, during the tour of complex by APC chieftains in Anambra state.
The party’s Presidential Campaign Management Council officials had on Saturday evening visited the facility to supervise preparation for Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima mega rally in the state.
Ejidike said a letter was addressed to the Anambra State Government titled: “Notice of Presidential Rally for APC requesting the use of the Alex Ekwueme Square Awka for the event and a prescribed fee of 2.5 million naira only was paid in line with the operative of the state order.
While commending the governor for the approval, Ejidike said over 22,000 APC supporters, support groups and other lovers of Asiwaju Tinubu across the 326 political wards in Anambra State are expected to attend the rally, which he described as mother of all rallies on Tuesday.
According to him, we are fully prepared to receive the next President of Nigeria to Anambra State.
“Ndi-Anambra will vote for Tinubu’ because of the long time relationship they have been enjoying with him starting from when he was the Governor of Lagos State.
“The Presidential Campaign Management Committee have mobilise all the supporters across the 21 LGAs for the event and they are very much hopeful for the huge success. And the mother of all rallies for our Presidential candidate, Ahmed Tinubu’ and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, is going to take place in Ekwueme Square Awka, on Tuesday. You are all invited”, the Chairman added .
